29 Dec 2009: Last post of 2009. Just noticed that I have shitloads of the following albums lying around here:
Merzbow vs Nordvargr - Partikel II
Nordvargr - In oceans abandoned by life...
Körperwelten - Avatars of rape and rage
I will sell them as a bundle for 25 Euro (incl postage to wherever you are!) and I will also throw in a copy
of the excellent compilation "Fabriksampler V2". Email me to order; nordvargr at nordvargr dot com.
21 December 2009: Again, yes, the rumors are true. MZ. 412 will leave Cold Meat Industry to sign up with... somemone else.
A pressrelease will be released in January. No drama though, so you conspiracytheorists on the forums and mailinglists can chill out.
Other news - Collaborating with american soundwizard Surachai on a few tracks on the forthcoming special and very limited "A wilderness of Cloades" release.
Will spend the holidays working in the studio, hopefully tweaking the new Crowphonics CRO-2 (I hope Satan, sorry, Santa brings it to me in time).
So... what was best this year? No top 10 here, but these have been inspiring (in no particular order):
Enema Syringe "Mitt livs novell"
Ben Frost "By The Throat"
Iron fist of the sun "Behavioural decline"
Tenebrous "Opus Magnum"
Herz Juhning "Miasma"
11 December 2009: Yes, the rumors are true. Pouppée Fabrikk is reunited. I will once again pick up the mic and do my best
to pound some sense into todays youth... and I am now also involved in the actual musicmaking, so expect maybe a bit more
noisy edge to it. Time will tell. We just landed a record deal and hopefully an album will be released during 2010.
Also, today the Folkstorm Ortodox CD´s and boxes finally arrived here from OEC, and they look great... give yourself the perfect
xmasgift - Buy one from OEC today!
01 December 2009: Trash Audio interview about workspace and environment
30 November 2009:
27 November 2009:

The new Folkstorm album "Ortodox" will be available next week from OEC - be sure to preorder one TODAY!
I repeat: PREORDER A REAL COPY, this album you DO want to OWN, not just download.
If you are fast, go to OEC, and get the VERY limited boxset!!!
It contains a real knuckleduster (among some other stuff), which might come in handy. "Praeparatus Supervivet" as they say...
4 November 2009: Artwork, info and sounds from the new Folkstorm release can be found at OEC.
12 October 2009:

Proud to announce that the master for the forthcoming Folkstorm album "Ortodox" is ready. Expect a release before the year ends on OEC.
Working on the graphics with Brian van der Pol as we speak. This album is a bit special as I recorded it all analogue - no computers
used at all. Very back to basics - Ortodox Svensk Industri! I hope to put some preview tracks online soon...
On a sidenote; let it be known that I will kill for / prostitute myself / sell my soul or whatever is necessary to get my hands on a Buchla 200e system.
Thinking about it though... I am probably better off without one as it would probably change my perspective on musicmaking.
04 October 2009: Busy busy busy... work and family (reverse order actually) has been a priority here the last month.
Been tweaking some new equipment, and results are great. I usually don´t show off my tools but this one deserves to be mentioned:

It is a BoardWeevil, handmade by Tom Bugs, and it is crazy... fun to play, totally unpredictable (in a good way), and sounds fantastic.
(If you want to find out more just search Youtube, there are a few nice demos there)
Still have some of my recent releases in stock (very few though), just get in touch if you need something.
01 September 2009: The Toroidh CD is sold out here, but you can get it from Neuropa / Malignant.
14 August 2009: OK, the final 205 Recordings release of the year is available for preorder - Toroidh "Eine kleine Marschmusik" -
This CD is limited to 300 copies and will be exclusively distributed by Malignant in the US of A, and Neuropa for the rest of
the world. I have a handful signed copies still not booked here (mail me to reserve NOW if you want one; nordvargr @ nordvargr dot com)
So what is next on 205 Recordings? Nothing. At the moment. I will announce the releaseplans for 2010 when the winter arrives...
I am looking for interesting artists to release, so feel free to send me demos (only by standard mail!).
Finally, be sure to pick up All Hail The Transcending Ghost from Cold Spring, I am so proud of that release... me and Tim created
some magic moments on that recording. Seriously.
11 August 2009:

10 August 2009: Avart and Interstellar 2 is now sold out here. (OEC or Malignant may still have some left in stock)
30 July 2009: Back in business again... a new limited 205 Recordings release is now available... also picked up some new
gadgets/noisemakers during my vacation, so I am looking forward to start working on new stuff during the autumn.
To all of you who contact me and fear that the new limited releases are sold out; no, they are not. Business is slow here.
Can it be that people are on vacation? That noone visits my website? Who knows...
Also - I am looking for effect pedals and similar small stuff. If you have something lying around that you do not use,
send me a mail and maybe we can work something out (tremolo/flanger/delay/ring mod/smaller synths/dist/circuit bent stuff).
15 July 2009: Still some copies left of 205REC-889/90 here... and smaller quantities has been shipped to a few distros.
More 205 Recordings-related stuff will happen in August, but until then - VACATION!
Over and out / hNb.
Ohh... BTW, there is a new Folkstorm around... a primitive one man BM-band from Holland. It has nothing to do with my
Folkstorm. Shall I sue him for stealing my bandname? Or change my band to "The True Folkstorm"? Or... what.. seriously,
I am flattered that the name is spreading - another example is a Russian BM band who named their album "Folkstorm of the azure nights".
I somehow doubt that the word "folkstorm" even exists in Russia or Holland.
07 July 2009: OK, as promised - two 205 Recordings CD´s are out. First come, first served!
23 June 2009: I will not reveal too much at this point, but be prepared for some new limited releases from 205 Recordings coming during the summer.
21 June 2009: Just finished mastering the new (still untitled) Goatvargr CD... really satisfied with the result! It actually turned out
to sound very much like a noisier incarnation of MZ. 412. The master will be shipped over to the Cold Spring HQ later this week, and we plan
to have it released later this year. I will upload one track to tease you with @ VIRB
13 June 2009: The Devil's brew, Coffea Arabica, served up real nice:

Introducing the rarest Nordvargr item on the planet; The Nordvargr Coffee Mug - only ONE copy exists. No, I will not sell it.
I really need it to get up in the morning...
03 June 2009: If you haven´t heard back from me in a while it is because I am terribly behind in my inbox...
I am not being ignorant, just too busy at the moment. Bare with me folks.
A new Goatvargr album is soon done, just some tweaks and polish left before it is ready. This time around the sound
is even more intense than before, more rythmic parts, more extreme noise, more grinding drones - and of course - lots of raw,
bestial animal vibes. Expect a release later this year on Cold Spring. Kiss the goat!
20 May 2009: On popular demand I registered an account on Last FM, so if you enjoy their service you can now enjoy
more of my work... and more will come. Search NORDVARGR and you will see.
Hmmm... 156 downloads of "Interstellar 2" in one week + an unknown number of Rapidshare dl´s... quite good considering
the minimal effort I have made to advertise it.
To celebrate this I have decided to release another album on TPB - or re-release might be more accurate;
"Enter Nordvargr 2" was released right here on www.nordvargr.com in 2005, and after my ISP shut me down due to generating
too much traffic, the file was hosted by Vendlus for a while... then it disappeared.
Now it is back online and enhanced with two new tracks.
Remember that you can show your appreciation by clicking here:
Some other news worth mentioning; August 18th 2000 an improvised liveset was performed in Rostock, Germany involving members of MZ. 412, Column One and Idpa.
It seems like this recording finally will be released... more info as this develops.
The re-styled logo on the index page is made by Brian van der Pol, you might catch more of his artwork here in the future ;)
13 May 2009: Another release is out - all free:
NORDVARGR - Interstellar 2
Cat no: 205REC-889 / Torrent - MP3 320kbit/44.1kHz/Stereo
(The torrent also includes the sold out CD "Interstellar")
54.14 minutes of new deep drones and dark space awaits you, all free to enjoy:
Please help me get the word out on the forums, blogs etc, and keep seeding it!
08 May 2009: Here is a small sneak peak of the artwork for the forthcoming All Hail... CD, coming later this year (July?) on Cold Spring:

I just finished listening to the final master of the CD, and it is truly the most scary music I have recorded.
(If you missed it; AHTTG is a collaboration with Tim Bertilsson (Switchblade))
The Resignation debut CD "1897" just landed, it will start to get distributed next week. Contact OEC or your fave distro to pick it up!
On the recording front things have been a bit slow, some new Resignation sessions are planned later in May... I have also started to
turn my face towards the vast darkness of space once again, who knows what I will find?
29 April 2009: All Live Awakening boxes shipped (registered), ETA first week of May depending on where you live.
17 April 2009: Just found a strange release floating around on the pirate-blogs - Merzvargr. It claims to "Combine both 'Partikel' releases in special
packaging, including a Merzbow vs. Nordvargr t-shirt. This release has one bonus track not available elsewhere. Limited to 69 pieces"
Cold Spring did not release this, and the bonus track is not something I have ever made... so what do we have here? Any info is welcome.
Let it be known that I am flattered that I am being bootlegged, but adding "new tracks" which I have not composed I do not like. Not at all actually.
I will fucking Keyser Szöze your ass if I catch you, you lame-ass-Nordvargr-impersonator. Let it be known. Amen.
Oh, forgot to mention; all Live Awakening boxes are now sold out.
15 April 2009: 2 Nordvargr boxes left. This is an interesting experiment to see how many people actually visit my website. I have not sent
out any info regarding this release, so only the ones visiting nordvargr.com will know it even exists. Expect more small, obscure releases coming
in the future in the same manner!
10 April 2009: Hurry hurry... go to the 205 Recordings section and read about this:

31 March 2009: Well well well... look at this:

...a nice little wooden box that will house the "Untitled Navigations I" special edition. This set will be available in 100 copies
from Beast of Prey (+ a standard version in 300 copies). Available during April as soon as they get them all assembled.
"Untitled Navigations I" was recorded live @ Villa Bohult studio, and is one massive ambient piece of slow moving darkness.
It is partly based upon my previous attempts to alter sleep patterns...it is presented exactly as it was performed, without any
overdubs or post production. A different experience...
I am currently in the process of re-mastering the good old Arditi/Toroidh collab for it´s vinyl release (on Neuropa). I have also
added/altered small details in the process, so there are a few small differences/improvements for all of you vinylfreaks.
I also must mention this massive beast:

The BLACK INDUSTRIAL GRIMOIRE, a lovely "phono-medianic experience", featuring some of the best black, bleak and dark music I have heard
in a long time... very recommended. Out now on Radical Matters.
The new Oaken Throne magazine (+ CD) is out and features one of the most intimate interviews I have made... and the magazine is full of
interesting stuff, so be sure to pick one up! The CD also features an exclusive Vargr track.
I am also planning to release a little special handmade box that I am currently trying to put together here, more info on this one later.
04 March 2009: I´ve been asked a few times about my view on downloads and piracy... well, it is a complex issue. In a way I can accept
the idea of downloading albums and treat them as "samples" to see if they are any good (yes, I do that myself occasionally). If I like
the album I support the artist/label and buy the album - if not I delete it. This is good as it helps the consumer to buy what he/she
really wants, and it puts pressure on the labels to not release crap. On the other hand I see a lot of people who download music
and NEVER buys the albums regardless what they think of the music. I guess I am just old, grumpy and old-school to actually want a cover
so I can get the "full picture" of the band/album... the younger generation seem to just ignore that part.
Then there is the issue of soundquality... and "album composition" (which you can forget as noone seems to care to listen to a whole
album anymore - has the attention span of people drastically decreased?).
Just ranting here... to sum it up - yes, download my music if you want, but please - buy it if you like it. The small independent
labels who releases this music have a hard time surviving, and it doesnt get easier.
There you go, now go buy Evolution and pre-order Resignation and the rest of my stuff.
And check back here on a regular basis to see what to download next you thieving bastard ;)
27 February 2009: I have a few (that is less than 3 ;)) signed copies of Evolution left for sale if anyone is interested.
Just email me at "nordvargr@" + the domainname you are visiting right now to confirm availability (20 Euro shipped to your door).
See below for details on the double CD!
Resignation is now online... check out Resignation @ VIRB
23 February 2009: Updated the website... I´ll try to expand the contents during the spring.
In the meantime check out Nordvargr @ VIRB
(the design is a bit fucked at the moment due to some major update they did over there, but it will get better soon)
A big THANK YOU to all who showed up in Prato last weekend, it was easily one of the best weekends of my life.
I truly enjoyed seeing G.O. and Inade live (unfortunately I missed Wertham, sorry Marco!), and performing for such
an enthusiastic crowd was great. Im my mind that Folkstorm gig was probably the best one we have ever made.

VI Congresso Post Industriale was also an informal releaseparty for my last(?) Nordvargr release - Evolution.
(There is another very limited Nordvargr album coming out on BOP soon, but that is an improvised live set I recorded,
so Evolution is the last real studioproduction I have made as Nordvargr.)

So why is this the last one? Simply because I feel that Evolution is the best Nordvargr recording I have made and I can´t
possibly make another one that "tops" it. I will of course continue to record music, but as I feel now it wont be anything
that sounds like the classic Nordvargr sound (whatever that means).
After a few years silence 205 Recordings is ready to unleash another album - the debut of Resignation.
